When a kitchen calls for something a little more subtle than high gloss, yet a matt finish just won’t do, Silk from Masterclass is so much more than a simple compromise. An almost perfect to the touch painted finish that creates luxurious results, Silk offers extremely high levels of consistency, thanks to the superior manufacturing process that is typical of Masterclass Kitchens.

Masterclass Kitchens

Achieving such a silky smooth surface the manufacturing processes requires a clinically clean environment, to prevent surface contamination which causes dust specs or ‘pimples’ beneath the top surface of the product. This is something that Masterclass takes in its stride, with beautifully smooth results.

The Silk story by Masterclass has unfolded on four new ranges, to cater for contemporary and classic tastes alike and to offer a luxurious finish without the high end price tag.

Sutton

A flat panel door design, Sutton is an MDF core product laminated with a PVC foil to the front and rear, finished perfectly to replicate a Silk Paint Finish. Featuring 1mm edging developed and manufactured by Masterclass, the sheet material is cut into components and edged on state-of-the-art edge banding machines, using near zero glue-line PUR technology. The result is soft radius edges and corners, and a finish that is smooth to the touch.

Chatsworth

Using the same PVC foils, Chatsworth is a classic shaker design, with a subtly different detail from other shaker door styles within the Masterclass range. The edges of the doors have a tighter radius, while the shaker frame has no ‘V’ joint detailing or chamfer surrounding the centre panel. The centre panel itself is recessed only 3mm and creates a clean and simple ‘true shaker’ design.

Roma

For the contemporary kitchen, Roma is a ‘J profile’ handleless door design made from 22mm thick MDF core. Silk finished using a high quality polyester paint, Roma is beautifully finished to a near perfect standard.

Marlborough

Marlborough is a true classic shaker styled range, which takes styling to another level, with specific features offered to create a bespoke look. These include uniquely designed mantle shelving, chef’s tables, shaker panel base and island panelling and detailed under cornice. Framing moulding sections are also offered to create a classic in-frame look, while corbels, shelving supports, pilasters and affordable curved sections are all offered to further enhance this flagship Masterclass range.

Tapping into the timeless trend for a blue/grey colour palette in the kitchen, all four Silk ranges from Masterclass are offered in a palette of five colours: White, Light Grey, Dust Grey, Coastal Mist and Graphite.
