We hope our research and Ronseal’s collection of no-fuss home and garden woodcare products help people make the most of their homes, inside and out.”

Garden Party. Lively New Colours for Spring and Summer Gardens

Identifying a new appetite for bright colour in exterior spaces, this trend helps gardens stand out and will give them a new lease of life, just in time for summer.

A must for fans of make do and mend, this trend embraces flashes of vivid colour to help reclaim and update everything from garden furniture, decking and fences to flower pots and planters.

To help achieve this look, people can choose from a selection of bold new additions to the Ronseal Garden Paint range – a palette that now boasts seven new shades, including Blue Jay, Sun Burst, Clover, Cherry Blossom, Fresh Lavender, and Warm Stone.

Urban Living. Celebrating the Best of Old and New

This practical trend brings together the best of retro and modern design and works really well in small dwellings.

Yellow is core to Urban Living, but rather than the harsh primary original, this trend heroes a softer tone that complements cobalt grey and hints of teal.

For Simple to achieve projects, use easy-to-apply products like Ronseal Interior Wax, Ronseal 10 Year Weatherproof Wood Paint and Ronseal Cupboard Paint to give floors, cupboards and furniture – in Victorian gardens or country kitchens – an update and added layer of premium protection.

Classic Style. Warm and Welcoming

Lending a sophisticated feel to all kinds of wooden surfaces, Classic Style helps people invest in their homes and gardens with homely warm woods and natural finishes.

A way of protecting the traditional, but with a contemporary twist, products like Ronseal Quick Drying Wood Stain gives garden furniture serious love and attention – refreshing surfaces for the year ahead.

Indoor woodwork, like floorboards, also gets a richer, longer-lasting finish with Ronseal Diamond Hard Floor Varnish. Now available in walnut and smoked walnut tones, for a timeless, classic look.

Calming Spaces. Clean and Tranquil

Subtle, peaceful shades are the bedrock of Calming Spaces. A grown-up look, its palette of soft greys, flesh tones and off whites suggest contentment and tranquillity, and help people channel the trend for upcycling and reinvention.

Ronseal Chalky Furniture Paint, key to Calming Spaces and new for 2016, transforms all kinds of forgotten wood inside the home. Shades like Cool Pink, Blue or Oatmeal, give old tables, chairs and vintage desks a finish that is clean but understated.

In the garden, think character. Paint stone walls with Ronseal Garden Paint and treat decking with Ronseal Decking Stain –  both in neutral tones like White Ash or Stone Grey.

Speaking about the trends, Ronseal Marketing Manager, Caroline Vaughan, says: “The Ronseal Trends have been designed to showcase some of the strongest looks for the year ahead, while highlighting the new and extended product ranges we have developed to help customers achieve them.”
