What inspires you? Where do you get your inspiration from?

The Italian culture and the international art movements. Traditional craftsman’s techniques and the flavour of materials.

Making an idea come to life.

Keeping our wood workshop clean.

What are the highlights of your career thus far?
Our website and our social media presence. Pure storytelling.

 

What are your goals for the next 5 years?

Get the right visibility and credibility.

 

How did you develop the concept for your studio (logo, concept)?

Pratone chair from Torino, meant to resemble blades of growing green grass.
What do you enjoy most about working in the design industry?
The prototyping stage, when we get the chance to improve our products.

 

What has been the most exciting collaboration you’ve worked on so far?
We love our clients, they are the real designers.

 

What do you believe sets you and your company apart from your competitors design firms?
The smell of Italian wood in our workshop.

 

Who’s your favorite designer Icon?
Enzo Mari.

 

Most inspirational person you have met?
My colleague Giuseppe Vinci.

 

What are the main duties of your role? How long have you been working in design and what is your creative background and training?
At Izmade, I am responsible for scheduling, ideas, technologies, and spaces. I’m a planner and city designer, so I love to manage complexity.

 

Do you have any words of wisdom that you would like to pass on?
Put thought into making things with your hands.
